The Chippewa Flowage
The Chippewa Flowage, located in Hayward, Wisconsin, is a 17,000 acre reservior created in 1923 by the damning of the Chippewa River. It encompasses 11 natural lakes, 9 natural rivers and countless streams and ponds.
The "Big Chip" as it is called is made up of 233 miles of undeveloped shoreline and 140 islands making this a unique angling experience. The low number of "recreational" traffic is a draw to all fisherman. There is a variety of wildlife that use the Flowage as a home, including bear, eagles, deer, herons and much more.
The average size of muskies caught out of the Flowage is increasing yearly so, make plans to fish it today.
