The Chippewa Flowage
The Chippewa Flowage, located in Hayward, Wisconsin, is a 17,000 acre reservior created in 1923 by the damning of the Chippewa River. It encompasses 11 natural lakes, 9 natural rivers and countless streams and ponds.

The "Big Chip" as it is called is made up of 233 miles of undeveloped shoreline and 140 islands making this a unique angling experience.
The low number of "recreational" traffic is a draw to all fisherman. There is a variety of wildlife that use the Flowage as a home, including bear, eagles, deer, herons and much more.

The average size of muskies caught out of the Flowage is increasing yearly and the walleye stocking is really helping the fishery out tremendously. The crappie population is as high as it's ever been, so make plans to fish it today.
